To make it short, are there any ways I can upgrade the Mac pro's operating system to be compatible with anything new? Ive also burnt a DVD+R DL and it worked just as well as the USB stick - but a lot slower. ![]() I used Etcher (balena Etcher) to write the ISO to a USB stick, then booted off it on the Mac. Ive installed this on my iMac5,1 which had an empty hard drive. Especially Apple silicon-based Mac users, please read this article carefully All UR/UR-RT.
